A Robin chatters Overhead
Here's a pastel painting of my little friend who chitters away at the top of the Hawthorn tree every evening and follows me around the garden when I hoe the borders. I've sketched this to go with a poem written for children, although in truth it's aimed at everyone. The title references Robert Frost by alluding to his "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" and following the same rhyme scheme and snowy theme. I'll include the poem to see if you think the image is appropriate, or not, or not at all. I know it's a bit twee, even sugary (the painting) but that's the old romantic in me coming out. Ok, pass the sick bags.
