A great painting, Barry. The greenhouse is everything, with the surrounding features acting in a supporting role. The eye is drawn quickly to the glass, where the mind immediately takes over. As others have said, you've developed a wonderful mood with this. The telegraph poles are a nimble touch, as are the barely visible background trees. Great! Brian

Thanks to everyone who has made a comment, I am very pleased that you all like the subject it caught my eye and shouted “ paint me”!! It’s great when that happens but you still have that nervous feeling that you won’t paint it well or do it justice. Thankfully this one has worked.

This is one I may have painted with our Plein Air Group if I hadn’t had to go early. I took some photos of the afternoon venue and thought I would give this one a try.
