I’ve just written an article in the current edition of The Artist on line and wash, which you may have read Barry. It’s definitely a favourite medium of mine and obviously you feel the same with this quality drawing of I believe to be Polperro, a place I’ve visited on several occasions.

Thanks Alan yes I enjoyed your excellent article, I love the medium and use many different tools and implements to apply my ink although my favourite is still a sharpened matchstick. You are correct on the location.

Nice one Barry, the picture has got personality.

I agree, loads of personality, love it!

Certainly an eye catcher Barry and using a medium (and implement) close to mine own heart

Like this a lot - have walked the way from Pol Ruan to Polperro many times.

This is excellent Barry, very busy and lots of activity.

Excellent use of the medium Barry full of character.

Very good - nice strong shapes and plenty for the eye to enjoy.

Like the hustle and bustle and your proficient use of pen and ink. The light on the houses is lovely Barry.

Lovely sunny scene Barry.

I like the composition you have got here. The inks give a real sense of place to this painting.

Thank you to all it’s great to receive your comments.

Fabulous painting

I love this style , it is so alive . Have been trying this method a bit myself. You make it look easy!

Thank you Romila and Fred, never easy Fred and I am sure your efforts will be repaid.

This is just excellent, Barry. So much too hold the viewer's eye, with contrasting detailed areas and passages of calm. So beautifully done.

Great work,Barry, soooooooo atmospheric! I can smell and hear it all.
