Thank you Rachel, appreciate your comment.

Love the colour Barry 👍🏻

Lovely painting Barry. It's nice to see another aspect of Castle Coombe besides the famous bridge. Glad you had a good day. Hope the weather was kind.

Thank you Pete, although I avoided the bridge Jem didn't but his version has his unique mark upon it.

Looks fabulous Barry, sounds like a great day :)

Thank you Karen, it was very enjoyable.

I'm sure I wouldn't need to guess twice regarding the unique mark on Jems painting. A lovely loose but informative watercolour Barry.

My memory of Castle Coombe is just so.

Smashing painting Barry.

Another super w/c Barry.

Thank you Fiona, Linda, Margaret and Stephen for making lovely encouraging comments.

Beautiful composition, Barry, in your amiable style.

Thank you Cesare and Sylvia.

Beautiful painting Barry great work

Thank you Dennis much appreciated.

Especially nice picture.

Thank you Shirley

The introduction of strong contrasts has produced a splendid painting Barry , the roof colours work beautifully against the grey sky , lovely painting Thanks also for the Dr Dolittle trivia

Thank you Dermot, I did have to adjust as it was a dull day but pleased with the outcome. Re the trivia I understand that there have been many film crews in the village and there was a scene in a Dick Turpin TV series or film produced there a while ago.

Yes it's a grand spot and this is it.

Really nice contrasts achieved in this Barry.

Out with our group today at Castle Coombe a lovely Wiltshire village famous for the filming of Dr Doolittle. Painted in the morning with poor light and so used a little artistic licence to create some contrasts. On Arches 90lb rough half imperial paper. Very enjoyable day out with friends of a similar dissuasion.
