Always look forward to seeing your work Barry love every one another cracker indeed can't fault it and you can use as much artistic licence as you want 007. Give my best wishes to Jem

Lovely painting Barry it works so well you kept the buildings believeable without too much detail so they don't compete with the main part of the painting , it gives great atmosphere and depth well done Barry love it.

Thank you both it gives me great encouragement and a determination to keep going in this direction. I feel that I am beginning to make progress and learning so much more about working wet into wet.

Terrific painting , your work is something to aspire to.

Thank you Brian your comments are very much appreciated.

I'm sure the wind blew those signs around 180 degrees, that's the driver's excuse to the law.😀

Well spotted Brian.

Not an error, surely. I have seen cars driving through a No Entry sign in Bath on several occasions :-)

Can't argue with that Malcolm. Justified on an artistic level to provide colour and reflections, I wonder if I could catch Alvaro Castignet out, as he is very keen on both brake lights and no entry signs. I must keep an eye out!!!

This is really good Barry. Love the wet into wet effect.

Thank you Dympna.

I decided to paint indoors today based on the awful weather forecast and although the rain has not yet arrived I kept in theme choosing to paint a Bath street scene in the rain. It's from one of my own photos but I have used a large chunk of artistic licence including making it a rainy day. There is an obvious error that some with an eye for detail may pick up on , answers on a post card before the end of the month please!!!. Painted on Arches 95llb rough half imperial paper.
