Ah, more lovely rust and peeling paint! You've really elevated painting them into an art form, Avril! This is lovely, as usual - your very cheerful palette and the beautifully rendered detail. Gorgeous!

You make rust so interesting Avril !

A wonderful depiction of rotting timbers ,peeling paint and rust by a master of the decrepit. : ). Lovely Avril.

What a great subject and so well executed

Now I was just thinking that I could do with a bit of rust from Avril and then this painting pops up!! I love that soft blue with the burnt sienna of the rusty locks and handle - a joyous combination. As always, brilliantly painted and observed.

I missed you, Avril, happy to see you back! This is again a beauty!!! It is almost an abstract painting, amazing.

Glad you like it Kevin, Michael, Thea and Mia. Not so much painting in the summer but lots of little trips and loads of photos for futur inspiration........hopefully.

Lovely use of colour and accutely observed. You have such a talent for seeing and painting decay and age so beautifully. I enjoyed a visit to your website!

Somehow you see the little details that so many of us would pass by, and you see in them something that can be presented so attractively, Avril. This is lovely, and thought provoking...

Avril, je ne sais pas comment tu les fais tes acquarelles mais elles sont toujours si jolies et bien reussies. La rouille qui coule... Super!

Merci Lesley, Jane et Satu for such encouraging comments which help me along.

Everyone has said it already. Perfectly executed, you see the beauty in what most people would completely ignore and turn it into a work of art.
