Great colours

Thanks Martin, was an amazing week, tough going but very rewarding

Great portrait Ashley, you must be the most prolific artist on this site.

This is beautifully done ... the eyes are remarkable.

Thanks everyone. My normal medium isn't oil nor have I painted many portraits, certainly not in a classical style which is why I took myself away to Scotland last week to study at the Scottish School of Classical Art to be tutored by Michael J Doherty who studied in Florence. Wow, this is wonderful! Those eyes!

Lovely skin tones and a beautiful portrait. Gorgeous eyes!

Very beautiful portrait and captivating gaze, Ashley!

I returned yesterday from spending a week studying at the Scottish School of Classical Art. Ava is one of two portrait studies that I worked on. The painting has an acrylic underpainting. Daler Rowney oils on board
