Oil on canvas painting of an indian bride who has been forced to get married, according to cultural norms. She contemplates whether to go in and lead the life of a housewife, or whether to walk out and stand for herself. The door is only partly open, signifying her second thoughts about embarking this journey. However, she sits with a powerful poise, head held high and her face not covered by her red veil. This shows that she believes in her inner strength as a woman, and is ready to defend herself.
