You are a lady of many talents Anni! Clever.

Hi Anni~I stopped off in the gallery, found your new/old entry. It is rather cute but then cats are.I like it..We came across many works in this style while in Peru. They tended to cut the subject up into jig-saw like coloured pieces with the cut edges 'rounded down' and then applied to a plain painted backing board....some where in stained woods resembling a small child's slotted jig-saw too...

Again, you are very innovative Anni, this is a lovely idea.

Hi Jeanette, Phil and Carole...nice to have you drop in :) Thank you all. Interesting to hear about the Peruvian wooden artwork Phil. I made over 600 wooden cats some years back and sold them to local craft/art shops. They were more Egyptian in style and designed 7 different styles. There were many nights slaving over a hot jigsaw and sanding wooden :( I prefer to paint thesedays). Many thanks ~ Anni

Oil on wood, As I am going through a cat painting phase, I’d thought I’ll post this one. It is one of my early cats painted some time ago. First of all I cut a 1 inch piece of pine wood out with my jigsaw, sanded it and then painted this image. I was going to make a doorstop with it. Some how it never made life as a doorstop and sits on the window sill instead. :) ~ Anni
