Lovely, Anni. And what a patient elephant. Thanks for your medium notes too, you have achieved good strong colours with your watercolour pencils, not always easy to do, I find.

I had fun trying out some of my new Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils on New Years Day. This little fellow was a birthday present to me from my partner. He knows I have a fondness for elephants, velvet and bright colours. I thought he would make the perfect model for my first experiment using them. He also kept completely still, which was a plus. Outline details were added afterwards using a Uni-ball Visionette black 0.5 ink pen. Paper was Bockingford Artistsâ€™ Water Colour 150gsm
