I would never have thought of spraying paper with spray starch Annie - I suppose it was successful because of the thickness of the Khadi. I love this and am not surprised it sold!

Very well put together Annie. Some lovely detail in there.

Thank you John and Adele. I think I was desperate and found I had nothing to lose by trying it !

It's beautiful Annie. A really lovely painting.

It's a beauty Annie, I'm not surprised is sold quickly.

Thank you Rachel and Margaret, very kind of you. As far as the sale, I wish it were always that easy !!

Lovely textures Annie, it’s a beauty and congratulations on the sale.

Ooh I missed this, just browsing through and spotted it Annie, a great subject and so effective the way you have done it.

Ps. Not surprised it sold!

Thanks Fiona and Carole, great to have the support

Painted onto really thick Indian paper (Khadi). The paper surface wasn't quite crisp enough for me so I sprayed it with spray starch a couple of times, which worked really well. The textures are created using sponges. I framed it into a recycled frame with the rough edges of the paper showing (I don't cut hand made paper but break it). I must have done something right because it sold straight away!
