Wonderful painting of the ever decreasing starling . I think there are some really clever skills here. The vertical dynamic of the wood meets with the pecking birds brilliantly.

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone. I’m new here and haven’t worked out how to reply to an individual yet. @David Williams - yes, I use soft pastel (unison) or pan pastel and pastel pencils for the detail. Drawn on Pastelmat paper.
