This is a little village house that I came across when on a recent visit to a friend in the Charente Maritime. The colours and textures of the building and its gentle setting were just to tempting not to illustrate. The work is executed in ink and in watercolour, a combination that I enjoy using and it is executed on 300gsm paper. Buildings of all types are one of my prime favourites to draw and paint as their variations, particularly in Europe, are so great.
