"A place I once strolled"

Comments

Looks like a good place to walk!

Why thankyou Heather and David, I spent a few years of a happy childhood in this market town and when I started writing Memoirs started this sketch of a street I use to frequent!

Very nicely done Angela 🙂

Thankyou Stephen, I found this painting while sifting through some Memoirs sketches I started last year. Think it was drawn in 2b pencil then added watercolour pencil with brush...Early childhood was in Yorkshire near the Wolds and then we travelled far afield, but always will have fond memories of England and Scotland..and South Africa too.. we tend to reflect upon these places when writing Memoirs!

These compositions aren’t easy, so well done for giving it a go Angela. A slight issue with the eye line and perspective, but easily sorted out…

I did this drawing from a photo I took ages ago. We lived there a few years from ten to fourteen in a country Market town in Yorkshire. Maybe that childhood place is where I strolled and took photos as these images are vivid, and after so many years the place was like a picture book, everything looked just like it was as a child. Even the postbox was there!
