'White Swan with cygnets' by Angela Harrison

I like this painting, fascinating your wax process. Sounds incredibly scary. I thought blob was meant to be there as it very muted. Loving the colours.

A delight of a painting Angela

Why thank you Julie and Heather, this is the third white Swan with cygnets but each time it kind of simplifies and dabbed the wax with my finger pad as soon as it melts then when it conceals scrape back with the back of a wooden palette knife or spoon...it didn't interfere with the dried out watercolour, and one can leave it in places to create textures.

I painted another White Swan with cygnets in watercolour pencil and added melted wax to act as a glaze. Needed to scour off the wax to see if it glazed, actually the more you experiment this process becomes easier. One can create textures but there was a circular blob of wax that kind of left an imprint so it looks like the full moon!
