"Rose" still-life painting
When the petals begin to fall from a rose here is something sacred as it bows over and droops as though it is bidding farewell. I heard that a dear friend had passed away last week and so I thought about Roses as her garden was full of different varieties and in summer the scent was just ephemoral ....its my way of saying a fond farewell. May see if I can paint a Rose to create a bereavement card and as its winter the Rose bushes are bare will need to visualise some red roses to paint for a card.
