Mint and Rosemary casting long shadows

A nice drawing Angela

Why thank you Heather, I have joined the drawing forum group and it's stimulating to discipline oneself to draw something each day...I sometime waken early so drew this early morning and noticed how long the shadow was at dawn! It's a challenge to draw something every day will see how things go as some weeks we get busy with family, so while it's quiet can focus upon drawing for the New Year!

That looks very good!!

Why thank you David, Once we start drawing some still-life subjects it gets us into motion again! Joined the forum group so need to draw something each day or early morning when I feel more centred. Strange, as today these herbs struck a chord from years ago and seemed to be begging to pose! The shadow appeared so long in the dawn while the moon was in descent. Since moving the skies are brilliant here and it's perfect for light and filtering in even at dawn.

Started drawing a sprig of mint and rosemary I picked yesterday to add the herbs into a vegetarian meal. I woke early so grabbed my visual diary and made a sketch. I was amazed at how long the shadow loomed too! The shadow had long distinct shape and incredible when the herbs looked dainty in the cup.
