"Pear"

Comments

I like the lumpy bumpy shape of the pear Angela. A little sketch or painting each day is enjoyable, especially if we can see the interesting in the ordinary.

Thank you Marjorie, Yes, its interesting to choose a different subject each day ,and drawing still-life objects certainly keeps us finding different features fresh from observation.

Keep drawing daily Angela, it’s the backbone of all good art. Well done with the pear, I like the strong shadow which gives it a foothold, think about adding some shadow on the side of the fruit also! Try and take it a stage further, think three-dimensional.

Great drawing

Thank you for your encouragement Alan, I decided to start some still-life drawing today and yes it needs shadow on the side of the fruit, your advice is much appreciated and will continue drawing each day.

Thank you Heather, I appreciate your feedback o these 'still-life'drawings.

Very good drawing.

Many thanks Kwok, I like drawing still-life objects and appreciate your feedback on this latest form of the pear.

Like Marjorie, I love the shape of the pear Angela, it’s good and solid.

Good shape, shading and juicy looking colour Angela.

I really love the shape of this. It's great.

Many thanks Fiona, Carole and Diane, I have decided to draw something new each day as a drawing practice discipline. I appreciate your feedback and any critiques as this year one of my resolutions is to practice still-life drawing.

Many thanks Denise for your feedback on this pear still-life drawing, much appreciated.

Painted a pear upon a grid for a still-life study. A6 Visual diary pad and I want to draw still-life objects each day as a study of shape, form and texture. Did colour with watercolour pencil but haven't used brush yet, its a preliminary drawing showing the smooth texture and curved form of the pear.
