'Emu treck'

I am sure your granddaughter will be very pleased with the pictorial book you are creating! Another lovely sketch!

Another good one, what a lovely book your granddaughter will have!

Why thank you David and Heather for your lovely comments..I have been through a move and it takes a while to settle again, but started these drawings yesterday. Our two youngest grandaughters are fascinated with all creatures great and small and so promised to draw some Emus as we walked with a few ...amazing how tame they were too! We crept behind them and they never bothered about us humans! Some indigenous birds like the ostrich can be dangerous and even the Emu can strike with its three toes and there is a spur too so we are extra cautious on these nature walks! Anyway this pictorial book is mainly features with short phrases as they are still at kindergarten but eager to read. I adore this age group as they love drawing and finger painting too!

Started pencil drawing and am creating a pictorial book for our youngest granddaughter. We ventured to a reserve nature park a month ago and these Emus are so amazing as they wander about like silent sentinel birds, their drum-like vocal sound is unique and they are gregarious too...we met a few on our way back from walking the boardwalk from the marshes and their presence seemed to spur us on relentlessly while we climbed Tower Hill extinct volcano and so am eager to draw glimpses from photos.v
