"Kudu Rise" Mixed medium

Comments

I like this, very unusual.

Lovely use of different media, I like it.

Very eye-catching, good one Angela

Many thanks Denise, Carole and Heather, I think I drew the figures in chalk or pastel but added the textures in white titanium then draped the string, it was one of those experiments in mixed media.

I really like this Angela, unusual and interesting style.

Very interesting Angela, the textures and the colours.

Many thanks Fiona, I had written a story set in Kenya when I decided to paint these kudu's in indigenous Art form, so I was imagining the atmosphere in the bush and it was one of those Abstract impressions.

Many thanks Marjorie, I wanted to add some textured surfaces so decided to glue some string to resemble the Acacia stranded vines and sienna pigments for their forms.

Many thanks Michael, It was inspired from a chapter I wrote about an tribe who ventured to Lake Victoria along the river system in Kenya. These Kudu appeared before them at dawn upon the rise in the setting, where acacia vines were tangled and strewn.

I painted the background in Acrylic and then added string and dabbed the body frameworks in sienna and titanium white of these Kudu as they appeared from the rise in the bush.
