Thank you so much Lewis, yes we are very lucky to have all these independent shops in our town. Some residents told me that they enjoyed cakes from this bakers as children - and now their grandchildren are doing the same. I guess there are not many shops that can say that. A few years ago a very famous multi-chain bakery took over the premises next door. The residents didn't support it and it closed again shortly afterwards! I think the locals are quite proud of that particular victory :- )

Thanks Paul, the original painting had a lady holding a birthday balloon at the head of the queue, I gave the snowperson a load of Christmas helium balloons in her place. I had a lot of ladies claim that it was them in the queue holding the balloon when I posted this on the local community facebook page!!

Oops, looks like our shopping local snowperson has got rather carried away at Diana’s Patisserie! I’m not surprised, when I first shared the original (no snowy additions) to the local facebook community, I was inundated with people naming their favourite cakes! One man reported that he had just bought a bag of four cakes and buns, solely based on the recommendations people had posted! :- )
