Thank you Peter, I don’t normally like the short days at this time of year, but when I was painting my shopfront series and the clocks changed, I was really excited how different this bar looked all lit up. Much more interesting than my daytime reference snapshot!

Another nocturne and number 9 in the series of shopfronts. Loads of narrative in this scene - the gentleman passing by outside and glancing in, the customers in groups, pairs and maybe waiting for friends at the bar, but I particularly liked the bikes stashed by the raised flower bed - ready for a quick/(wobbly?) getaway at the end of the evening! :- ) Oil on gessobord, 8 inches square
