This is really good and everything about it works a treat (excuse the pun!)

Thank you Heather - your comment really put the icing on the cake! (lol) I thought I'd finished this one, then realised I had forgotten to put the cherries on the buns! All sorted now. (When I posted this one on my art facebook page, it generated a lot of discussion from customers nominating their favourite cakes!)

An interesting and lovely collection of shop front paintings.

Thank you Dympna :- ) I’m building up a whole little street of my own - they are drying/curing on a row of mini easels in my work space :- )

Your certainly showing your highs street in a beautiful way.

Really nice painting, Andrea.

Thank you Paul :-) This one was particularly interesting to paint with all the different cakes in the window - and the lady with the balloon was a dream arrival. This series has really shown me how much character the different shops have on our high street!

Thank you Shirley, so kind of you :- )

All your shopfront paintings are really interesting Andrea!

Thank you so much Diane :- ) I am really enjoying appreciating the character of each shop as I paint it. They often have unexpected elements to capture - this one turned out to be as much about the brickwork as the cakes!

At the time of posting this, there is plenty of time to get the kettle on for elevenses ...or twelveses, oneses :- ) There is frequently a queue outside this very popular shop on the high street. I am very grateful for two things at the time of my visit - one, that there were still cakes in the window (!), and two, for the lady at the head of the queue, holding the very jolly helium Happy Birthday balloons - one of which I captured here. This is Number 5 in a series of shopfront paintings.
