Sunflowers in a Lilac Jug
After I’d tried, unsuccessfully, to find sunflowers for quite a different painting project, my husband found some in the next town. They looked like sticks when they first arrived home, and are refusing to fully open! I decided to paint a still life instead and paired the sunflowers with a lilac jug, which I bought years ago at a local vintage flea market. I’m pleased this jug is finally in a painting, even if it wasn’t actually what I intended to paint next! Oils on cotton canvas panel: 30 x 22 cms
