" Old Man of Storr, Skye "

Lovely Linda

Looks good and very rugged, the texture of the paper seems to have helped with the rocks.

After squirrel back to another Scottish goodie !

Nice work Linda.(love the birds) (-:

Great selection of mediums that have worked very effectively Linda. Love the markings on the hills and stones.

Beautiful as usual. Love this technique!

Love it. Must try that paper.

Really lovely, love your technique with these views

I love the varied, misty colours which contrast so well with the strong lines of the rocks.

A long time since I was there but it brings it all back to me. Well conceived and executed.

Super watercolour Linda, like the colours dropped into the foreground rocks

Another great one Linda and you have got the feeling of the place, great pen work and pallet, like Frank it is many years since I was on the Island to climb and walk but it is such a magical place, I went over before the bridge was built, nice one.

Thanks to each and everyone for your comments and views, very much appreciated, the image looks a bit darker on laptop than it actually is. My daughter took a lot of very interesting and dramatic views on Skye so plenty more to come!!! Its a great way to experiment with colour and texture, some work and some don't but that's painting for you, always good to have a go!!!

Thank you Gudrun.

Hang on Studio Wall

Trying out some new watercolour paper, Daler Rowney aquafine watercolour paper, 300grm nice heavy texture taking the watercolour well. Ref photo from my daughters recent trip to Skye. watercolour, oil pastel and uni pen. 6 x 6
