Super painting, Alix.

Thanks so much, Seth. Having painted it during the vile winter weather, I finished it today ....... and the sun came out!

It's hard to paint people at work, yet you have managed it here with some style. Beautiful in many respects. The light and shadows are great, as are the towels drying on the balcony. It's the little touches that make this so believable, like the angle of the boat, the bike stand and the work benches in the garage that go to make this a day in the life of... Very nice Brian

Beautiful painting Alix, great feeling of the hot Spanish sun with the darks and lights. The trouble with wooden hulls is that they take such a lot of TLC to keep them in good shape!

The light is back! Great painting.

Brian, what a critique! Very many thanks. Bob, you're so right about boats! But they are 'characters', like steam engines! Tony, it was bliss to finish this with the sun out after so long. Now I'm filled with the urge for the next painting...whatever it is. Something completely different I think - just for the hell of it!

Great painting Alix!

Thank you, Jacky. It's the first time I've attempted a motorbike. Just hope no one expects to identify the make and model!

Love this :)

Absolutely agree with everyone, especially about the boats! Super sunny stuff, Alix.

Alan and Thalia, thank you so much for your comments. Keeps the creative spirit alive!

Oil, 30 x 30 cm unframed. Just down the road from Salvador Dali's home - see road sign. The sun is out and I've just finished this sunny painting most of which was painted on dark, wet days!
