Thanks, Pat. Being early autumn the lights/darks and dashes of light were there making life so easy for an artist! What wasn't easy was looking at all the ropes/warps and working out what went where! Quite a tricky painting even so because of the different conditions of the boats and especially the mould and water in the lefthand one - part in shadow, part transparent, part mould. Drove me a little insane!

Bold and brave contrast of light which as worked so well. The detail of the boats and ropes are excellent, a beautiful painting Alix.
