36 x 28cm Mixed media: fine line pen & acrylic ink. I loved drawing all the different textures in this scene, with all the intertwining ropes in all the different types and thicknesses. I also enjoyed the way the light fell on the fishing equipment, casting areas into deep shadows or dazzling sunlight. This image represents a still bustling fishing community in Cornwall, continuing to thrive in spite of the odds...
