‘Above the Tideline, Cadgwith’ - 72x35cm - pen & ink wash For hundreds of years, industrious fishermen in Cadgwith have braved the sea to trawl for fish, in what has always been, a tough and often dangerous job which takes great skill and knowledge of the local waters. In this pen and ink wash drawing I wanted to capture the atmosphere of Cadgwith Cove by drawing the fishing boats filled with all the necessary equipment, against the idyllic backdrop.
