Newlyn Harbour View
This acrylic painting on paper is of a view from Newlyn Harbour of St Michael's Mount in Cornwall. This is a complicated and challenging view,so challenging in fact that I nearly gave up on it several times throughout the process! I had to think very carefully about which areas to paint in which order as there are so many ropes and masts in front of each other and it took considerably longer than I thought it would. I loved the idea of St Michael's Mount watching serenly and majestically over Newlyn through the ages and its busy fishing port.
