Church Street, Helston
I love the history in West Cornwall's streets and towns. This view down Church Street, Helston, Cornwall, inspired me with it's atmosphere, architecture and light and shadows. I had been trying out lots of different types of media when I stumbled upon using maker pens in shades of grey with a black fine line pen outline. This is the first drawing I tried using this technique and I really liked the way it created a sense of history and atmosphere which was what I felt when looking at this scene.
