I like it as is , black outlines would be a bit harsh with the soft tones I think , then again I like pen and wash type pieces as well. I’m sure your client will be very pleased with this splendid and beautifully painted work.

Yes Paul I’m the same in fact think I prefer line and wash but like you say I also like the softness of tone, I’m going to experiment with a combination of both, thanks again

I'm sure they'll be delighted. It's very good. I also think that black would have been too harsh. Uni Pin do a fine liner of subtle light grey (05-200) which you could consider for future use.

Thank you Val, pleased to say they were, thanks also for the info, I do have some warm and cool grey pens but never thought of using them on a watercolour so going to have a practice on some discarded pieces
