Thank you Diana, yes I found it difficult to break away from tradition and slightly distort perspective with wonky buildings

This has a great sense of distance and place and is beautifully painted with great washes and eye catching detail.

Thank you Carole, Praise indeed, I sent it to my Granddaughter Jessica on her birthday, she liked it but thought maybe they had been a fight outside the bar haha, need think longer before committing paint to paper

Stuart, yes it was The Old Dun Cow when I was a lad, famous for the stained glass windows which I’m sorry to say haven’t survived the 21st century.

Thought I would try something new, not totally happy with the result but enjoyed the process and with a bit more practice I think this could be the style for me
