Super painting - hope they are happy, I would be. In my youth I did a sponsored walk from Box Hill to Guildford, but I was too young to appreciate the view at the start.

Thank you Heather, yes I decided early on to attempt to make the view an important element but keeping something back for the focal point

Thank you David P, funny you mentioned colouring which we all know is very important but I was talking to a gallery owner recently who told me she had a lady bring a swatch of wallpaper in and asked for a painting to match it 😂

1/8 imperial Watercolour on Arches 140lbs Not Fine grain, I was commissioned by a friend of the recipients to paint a back portrait of a couple, their dog and bikes on Box Hill Surrey, the only reference given was a head and shoulders portrait and pic of a dog lying down, the only way I could make anything of it was to make the figures small and make the most of the location, I’ve explained my dilemma so they are coming to my studio this afternoon to view it so fingers crossed, it may finish up on my wall
