Very nice Alan , overworked or not it’s a good sketch .

It's great, I love it, I love the moodiness!!

Great one. Especially for today

Whether you feel it’s overworked or not Al, it’s still a belter!

Overworked by your high standards, perhaps; but I think you've captured the majesty of the cathedral - and to project that was one of the principal reasons for building them; so this is still a successful impression.

I like the moodiness too.

Very lovely sketch Alan, I recognised it instantly! I like the darkness of the sketch, it gives atmosphere to the sketch. It has a particularly lovely steeple which is visible from miles away. It brings back memories of when I used to work in Chichester, only a couple of years ago when I used to take my lunch to have in the Bishops Palace gardens on the other side of the cathedral.

Lovely stuff!

Like this one very much, love the colours!

I like it Alan, great sketch.

I like this very much Alan.

A favourite place. As a dedicated overworker, let me say one person’s overworked is another’s ‘just right’. It’s a great drawing. I admire all your work

Like this a lot, nicely done

Over worked only you Alan would be able to judge that. A great piece of work never less.

Good one, the colours work really well.

Don’t think it matters about the sketchy trees as it’s the church tower that the catches the eye but that my opinion? I think it works fine! 👍🙏

It is a privilege to see your sketchbook work, Alan. What you might feel is "overworked" actually provides a wonderful depth and character to the Cathedral. Your mastery of line and wash is evident in every detail—it brings a sense of history and permanence to the scene. It’s a pleasure to add another "heart" from a fellow artist to a work with such a unique and unmistakable style. Thank you for sharing this.

Line and wash in my sketchbook. A bit overworked but I’m posting it anyway…
