very atmospheric excellent aerial perspective Alan

This is great Alan, love the colours and textures (especially the sky) and the semi abstract look.

Good work Alan!

Beautiful wide open countryside Alan, that terracotta really adds a great deal to your painting. Didn't know Lord Lichfield had died.

Love the way you are putting on the paint Alan. Like Carole, I didn't know he had died!

Thanks all, great comments from you, Lord Lichfield, the Queen's cousin and famous photographer died in 2005. Shugborough Hall is still the family home but is run by the Staffs County Council. You can go round part of this magnificent building and the grounds are stunning, follies everywhere and with the River Sow running through, well worth a trip.

The pinkish tones make it a stand out piece.

You are a master painter Alan!! I love it to bits!

Fantastic vista Alan, bags of atmosphere and texture. A wonderful semi abstract painting.

Super! Looks like you had a great time painting this Alan.

Great piece of work Alan

Fabulous. Clever effects which propel you across the landscape.

An absolutely stunning piece, Alan. I love your bold and confident use of paint and your very vibrant brushwork. Every piece of your art is a little different, but they all bear your signature artistic vision and excellence.

A great vista of this old hall, once the residence of the late Patrick LIchfield. Oil on board painted en-plein-air, 40 x 50cm.
