Got to say a beauty Alan meaty

I like it very much Alan.

An attractive impressionistic landscape view: palette-knife strokes, pure colors and white gesso. Another exciting work, Alan!

Stunning work Alan, beautiful matching colours and great view.

Alan you are producing some wonderful powerful scenes....stupendous!!

Thanks for all the comments on this rather mundane piece, I'm desperate for some new material to inspire me, a short break may be on the agenda shortly.

I love your recent postings in this bold and confident style.

One of your absolute best, Alan.

excellent loose work great marks Alan

Absolutely beautiful, love those wide pale fields in foreground Alan, really great.

I really like this one Alan , beautiful textures and colours. Diana

This is a feast of textures Alan. I can see the enjoyment you had in painting it.

Mundane it aint Alan. I see it as a great abstract and, in fact, would like to see the white hall overpainted and just left as suggestive of a landscape.

Thanks again, all encouraging for me, Yes Michael, it would work without the hall, I may actually knock it back a few tones, the hall itself is a weathered sandstone.

Lovely loose impressionistic work Alan

Very expressive Alan - I particularly like the mix of colours and, like Carole, those wide pale fields in the foreground.

Stunning piece, Alan. The textures, shapes and palette all come together so perfectly.

Another superb painting. I love the style it is so full of life and expression.

This 18C hall is just a few minutes away from me and is the seat of the Earl of Harrowby. I have painted it in some detail many years ago and the painting hangs in the main hall, along with some very splendid old oils. Painted this morning on MDF Board, primed with white gesso.
