This was my favourite spot, in 'The Blue Peter' Inn, fabulous hostelry with real ale! Alan

Thank you Michael, please do have a go, it's a perfect composition isn't it! I've painted all of those scenes that I sketched many times in different media, all long gone to good homes... I think many of the buildings were painted white, I remember that the pub definitely was.

This is a lovely piece Alan nice and close to refreshments

Super pen sketch Alan.

Fantastic penwork - love this.

I love them all Alan! Beautiful simple lines with no fuss which give the drawings freshness and luminosity.

Thank you everyone, I'm glad that I shared them with you, it was only when I saw the Polperro painting from Dennis the other day that I remembered I still had them, took a while to find mind you. Probably got another 50 or so but that will do for now. Did quite a lot of them from the bar window which had some great views. Alan

Lovely use of perspective and shadow.

A small selection of A4 sketches done during a weeks holiday in 1995... I stayed in a 300-year-old fisherman's cottage looking out to the harbour, fabulous, apart from the fact 300 years ago people were a lot shorter, some doors were only 5ft high or less, ouch!
