It's a beauty Alan very alive and instinctive. Lovely

Love this Alan great composition and lovely confident handling excellent painting.

Almost an Industrial Age feel to it, from a bygone era. May only be a sketch but has a very accomplished look to it, done in your distinctive style. Really like this.

Yes, Alan. I agree with Andre, It has a feel of the Industrial revolution to it. Beautiful composition and colours.

I agree with all comments, Alan. It is more than a simple sketch.

fine sketch Alan. balance of darks and lights warm and cold well done David Harrison

Wonderful mix of mediums and style Alan, love the loose fresh feel and I hope t clears the block!

Yes very lively Alan.

Snap as regards block Alan, will keep thinking, but this should have been a release and given power to your painting.

Love the pen lines of the rigging Alan and your unmistakable colour palette.

Love this, Alan. It is full of life.

Not bad for painter's block! It's still distinct and full of energy.

You're going into it, I'm just coming out of it ..... sometimes we just have to stop, take the dog out for a long walk, and see what we can see to break the logjam. A change of medium sometimes works for me - a watercolour or two, after a long procession of oils, maybe? This gives no clue to your block, which is maybe not an overly helpful thing to say......

Thanks everyone once again, it will pass as always, but I do agree that a change of medium does sometimes do the trick.

Don't worry painters block comes and goes in my case I think I cant paint ill give up then it usually goes great piece Alan really

Great sketch, great subject Alan. This, when it becomes a paintng, needs to be BIG!!
