You do buildings very well Adele, and the perspective works in this piece as well.

Is that near"arguements yard"........The stage for York used to leave the pub on the left around that time.. Cheers. Peter

A stunning drawing, Adele. I admire your skill to add all the details. It certainly is o.k.

Lovely work adele.

Gosh this fantastic Adele well done - a place I have always wanted to visit

I do envy your ability to draw and get correct perspectives Adele....this is wonderful in all areas.

Good drawing of a tricky subject Adele!

Lovely pencil work here Adele, a tricky subject but you have pulled it off.

Beautifully done Adele.

Lovely piece of work, Adele, and a lot of detail. Always nice to see a bit of life. I particularly like the fourth figure on the left, looks as if she's dancing down the road :) super work.

Textures are really good; great picture.

Brilliant drawing Adele, lots of interesting detail in it.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. CA - I think that figure was a young girl probably playing. I think Arguments Yard is off that street because Church Street is in the old town where all the jet shops are now. We were walking down there a couple of months ago and found an alley which opened out to the Yard - of course it is very pretty now, but absolutely no real character!

great exercise with pencil Adele love the buildings, perspective and the figures are very well done

Great drawing Adele. perspective is spot on and plenty of detail for interest.

Super work, Adele. Really good work on the perspective and lovely, subtle tones.

Super drawing Adele, your perspective is great, I'm hopeless at drawing!

Well, you certainly have the patience that I don't possess Adele, a really good piece of drawing.

Thank you David, Syd, Seok, Margaret and Alan for your comments. It takes me an awful long time to draw with lots of erasing and that's maybe why I am hopeless at quick sketches.

Some good drawing in there Adele

Thank you Derek.

Fabulpus detail Adele.

Oops a slight typo!!! it should have read... Fabulous detail Adele. I wouldn't have the patience to draw all those windows.

Thanks Ellen - I think "fabulpus" is a great word!
