This view up the bridge is a smashing scene, different in the view of the arch but also your composition is ideal for both light and shade.

Thank you Derek. Your comments, as always are very helpful. Was looking at the "blogs" and I think it would be lovely to try to encourage artists to contribute to this side of the website. I realise, of course that artists want to paint and not spend too long at their computers but helpful comments are, in my opinion good. It need only be perhaps once a week or whenever you can manage. Also, perhaps share amusing anecdotes. What do you think?

One night after we moved to North Yorkshire I woke to hear a train in the distance. Didn't know there was a railway track around. Discovered it was the train carrying potash from Boulby Mines, not far from us. It goes through the woods. Alas the potash is now running out. Another blow for the North-east!
