I do like this

Really like the way this was painted. So interesting. It's wonderful.

As i said earlier, you have a vision like photographer.. you capture the angles very well and execute in your painting..

Notice you have been added to the gallery above the gallery. Congratulations

Thank you for your lovely comments, everyone. Paul, not sure if being in the gallery above the gallery is an honour.

Adele this is more a view into a 3D environment, than just a 2D flat painting, this effect is great.

This has a great feel to it Adele.

Thank you Holger and Fiona.

I love the story......... Great that you are now doing what you want. It is so destructive how the comments of others hurts. Well done Adele, get into it....

Thank you Guy.

Hi Adele, I love your painting of Staithes and how you curved the scene is really well done, I read your profile with interest, as I too was told by my last art teacher to give art up as a subject, I did not have a talent for it. I was gutted. So left school and took on an office job. My yearning to draw and paint never left me. After many years of practicing I now paint full-time and have the courage to sell my paintings. We will show those art teachers!! All the best, Suzanne.

Thank you Suzanne. Yes, it is soul destroying to have casual remarks just thrown at you - these can and do sometimes have a lasting effect. That is why I constantly look at the Gallery and I do make a lot of remarks - not because I am a great artist and can give good advice, but because I like to encourage people to paint. It is, after all, about enjoyment. I always say that there is no good or bad painting, just different.
