What a lovely garden, Adele! Great painting...

A beautiful garden Adele, I love how you have created the textures in everything.

Can almost smell the barbie...

Just thought i'd add.if i painted my garden it would only need 2 colours. Browm fence ,green grass.mmmm maybe a bit of black and white from our Blackbird....

What a cosy little garden I see why you like the colour Blue !!

Great painting and not a ballerina in sight - nice one A

I agree with Carole. Lovely textures and a nice homely garden, Adele

Agree with everyone else Adele, such good colour as well!

A really lovely painting Adele. So much detail and so well observed.

Looks so lovely Adele

It's like a temple Adele. And the painting is highbrow too.

Lot of interest in what he created and you captured it well Adele. This looking towards the back alley?

Love it, Adele! The perspective is really great - the lead in of the bench slats with the overhead wooden slats make this painting a winner for me! I like the cool shade under the arbour against the sunlit white wall, as well as the contrast of the wall and the dark doors. Quite Different!!!!

Lovely, I can imagine you sitting on the bench in the dappled shade with a glass of wine in hand.

Thank you everybody - glad you like it. Unfortunately it is north facing so not many plants do great here except the hostas which provide a good munch for the snails and slugs. I chickened out of the ballerina sketch Michael, as I know my limitations. Yes Derek, a typical back alley. Birds are slowly nibbling away the rendering on the back wall. Next to that is the tool dumping shed which was the outside loo. that has still got the gas meter in. The row of 14 terraced cottages was built in 1875 for the supervisors of the miners in the ironstone mines here.

Lovely work Adele so much to explore in this painting

Thank you Dermot.

I like this watercolour very much.. It looks a very peaceful place

Just noticed that it is an acrylic.

Thank you Brian. Yes it is Open Acrylics which take much longer to dry, enabling me to blend.

I'd love to sit in your lovely little garden, Adele. Splendid painting!

Thank you Heather.

Open Acrylics - We live in a Victorian Miners Cottage with a large back yard. Hubby decided to make a small garden. He wanted a painting of it, which I did and 5 years later he made improvements and asked for another painting. This is the 2nd one. Will have to take a photo of the lst and put it on the gallery sometime.
