Agreed, the arch is spectacular, yet the backgorund lets the whole scene down in lack of tone. The structure beyond doesn't need a lot of texture just accuracy and tone

Thank you both for your comments. I agree with you Derek that I was so taken with the arch that I did neglect the ruin beyond. Something I will have to think about in the future.

Beautiful perspective, wonderful textures in the foreground.

I love arches and this one is amazing I can almost feel the texture of the stones.

Usually I'm not inspired by looking around old ruins, but I loved this old stone arch, capturing the view of the priory.
