In celebration of Chinese New Year, I’ve painted these bright red lanterns. I liked the contrast of the red against the pale green background.

I took up art when I retired a few years ago and I am still developing my style. My passion is watercolour and my aim is to keep improving my techniques and adopt a looser approach. I have had some success in local exhibitions and have sold some of my paintings.
