I love the sunshine colours of the petals contrasting against the velvety brown seed centres. I wanted to emphasise the light falling on the flowers, and chose to set the flowers against an indigo background. The flowers were viewed from an angle above so that I could concentrate on the face of the flowers.

Alison Adams
I took up art when I retired a few years ago and I am still developing my style. My passion is watercolour and my aim is to keep improving my techniques and adopt a looser approach. I have had some success in local exhibitions and have sold some of my paintings.
