I also had difficulty photographing mine, and the larger you look at it the worse it becomes! Anyhow ‘yer tiz’. I agree it was a good challenge and great fun to do, and yes foliage is flipping tricky! Great fun to see the different interpretations.

Like it - and notice that all the paintings shown are more open than mine - none the worse for that, just that it was a quite enclosed space, road on one side, lengthy walk to a cliff on the other.  That refers to my particular photo/experience though - I'm still cross that I had to give up on climbing the cliff path: I could do it 15 years ago!
That’s the difference in being there and using a photo isn’t it. We don’t see what you did and probably make up what we’re not sure of.  This was an excellent idea Robert and very enjoyable.
We should have a post once a month, titled, Have a go at the Photo.
Could be added to the POL team's challenges?
Yes a good idea.
Agreed. Actually didn’t we have this a while ago with Dawn posting some lovely photos? Maybe it was in lockdown when we weren’t allowed past the garden gate! Or did you mean for one of us to provide a photo Denise?
I don’t want to steal Roberts thread but here are a couple of photos that I have looked at for  years and thought about painting . My own photos so no copyright issues , I honestly don’t know where to start with them I’m sure one of you can paint one of them , or at least sketch it.
Yes, Tessa, I meant for the members to provide a photo of choice. Maybe a list could be complied and each month a member gets a turn to post a pic. Something like that anyway. Just a thought.

You could start the thread Denise , it would be good to have other peoples photos to look and and paint .
Maybe Robert might, as it was his idea and a great one at that. I'm just throwing some ideas about.
Maybe we could send possible photos to Robert, he could pick one anonymously, then when the painters had finished, the photo sender could be revealed.
