Feels very much to me like a bandwidth problem. I have quickly given up the last few days because of long waiting times, it’s like the Internet of several decades ago.

We do have the technicians looking into this. There's a lot of extra activity during the final days of our TALP Open but that may not be all there is to it. Please bear with us!

It's a BIT faster today, and has improved a little over the last few days.   An improvement on what it was at Easter, when I was able to fit in a (short) game of online chess while waiting for the Gallery to load - I don't know of any website on which there are not fluctuating loading times, for reasons which no one ever seems quite sure about.  Cynically, I suspect that some technicians - perish the thought that they may be POL's! - just sit the problem out, wait until the uploading speeds improve, and then lap up the praise for their efforts, even when they don't really have a clue that whatever they did had anything to do with it..... But as I say, not POL's technicians, who are beyond reproach and fully deserving of one of Dawn's splendid cakes - they are people of high virtue and unimpeachable competence (you know where to send the cheque).

In all fairness, having grumped about the slow loading of the site recently, I have to say it seems back to normal this morning.  I Hope everyone else is finding the same and that it lasts.  If the Tech Wizards are behind the improvement - thank you.

Yes it’s a bit better but the site does not function like any other website one cares to visit. As much as I like and appreciate POL let’s be clear about it, this website acts like something out of 15-20 years ago.

It’s a bit better now and I can get on a lot easier from my iPad at home but still having problems when out and trying to connect from my iPhone

For me it hasn't gotten any better, whether I wait 3 minutes from one click to the next click, or 2 minutes, that doesn't really make it any better for me. a click on a preview image - it's extremely slow again. The worst thing, however, is the forum, from one thread to the next takes ages. I leave the forum beforehand, I can't stay there for that long. Hopefully it will be optimized further.

It is still dreadful for me too - I know the tecchies are on it though but it has taken over 2 weeks now.
