It’s not just you, Norrette.
Still slow to respond for me too. I'm not 'technically minded' but someone did suggest that perhaps the site is too big, so would it help if we all reduced the number of pieces in our personal galleries?
I’m using an iPad and am finding the response time quite a lot better today - so far at least!  Re the galleries, maybe some of the old ones which haven’t been updated for some years could be thinned out?  I believe Tessa also suggested this earlier.

Cannot understand it, it’s working much better today from my IPAD. Little bit of hesitation but not much. It’s been said more than once the site could be too big. However POL must know what the problem is, but we  the users just have to be guessing. This is the best website for artist and it’s British. Despite the problem I am sure it will iron out at some point.
Yes Jenny I did offer that suggestion. I wonder what happened to the discussion between Alan B and Dawn after the Easter break? I don’t think I saw any further news on that. The site seems to me to have been marginally quicker some days, but still not great. I must admit I often just give up on trying to get around it. I would be willing to delete some of my older stuff if it would help, but I don’t have the technical knowledge to know if it would.
Alan could not discuss the issues with Dawn as she is of work due to a family illness , I’m sure one of the team will be looking into the matter in her absence.
Have been mailing the team on and off over the last few weeks and whilst it's got better it certainly needs a lot more investigation/work to get it back up to speed.  Charlotte (who's looking into this whilst Dawn is away) has told me today "  .... please be assured that we are looking into it and it will be resolved.  ".   So here's hoping am sure they're doing their best but it does seem to be taking time.
Thanks Dixie and Heather for the update. Fingers crossed.
Just to clarify, Dawn may not be off for a family illness, as I originally thought. I’ve spoken to Jane Stroud, the new editor of TA yesterday, and she tells me that Dawn just needed to take some time away! Either way, I’m sure that we all wish her well… Charlotte from Warners (who own the publication) including this website, is indeed looking after our interests in the mean time. I’m assured that everything is being done to try and resolve this issue!
Here's looking forward to the return of Dawn.  Its a tough job. This is one of the so few discussion forums where we can discuss art from across the centuries to our own struggles and triumphs, There's nothing can compare, anything on Facebook is fairly dire imho.
Thank you Alan, but we are still in the dark as we do not know what the issue is. So we just go around in a revolving door. That’s not meant to be a criticism, but it is a bit frustrating for all who use and support the website.

Sorry to find this problem. I managed to post a painting today and was able to respond to kind comments but that’s as far as I got, I could not leave comments for some fantastic art works due to slowness of the website. Hope it will soon be restored 😊
