Since today I can hardly click on anything in POL, the pages load over 3 minutes with each click, sometimes it no longer responds at all. Regardless of the area, forum, gallery, I have already checked my transmission speed, it is not due to my internet performance, all other pages load normally. Could it be that POL is carrying out some system maintenance in the background - stupid question, I don't know...Is this the case for you at the moment too?
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

They HAVE been carrying out site maintenance, but I thought things were back to normal now - until I had similar trouble today; I've not had to wait 3 minutes for pages to load, but it's certainly taken longer than it did I'm no expert on the internet, but could it be that with the approach of Easter, it's being slowed down by volume of use?

Started yesterday for me.. taking an absolute age to load up and sometimes doesn’t load at all!

Yes, here too,  all very slow to the extent that I have given up on a couple of attempts.

Same for me, although I find the response can be fairly slow a lot of the time. (Having said that, I have POL set up as three favourites - one for the forum, one for the main gallery and one for my own gallery page, and it goes straight to my own gallery page with no delay at all every time I log in to that, so maybe it is just the volume of users on the main areas of the site at the moment.)

I will add my name to the list , definitely very slow today I think Jenny is probably on the right track just the volume on the main areas.

Me too.  Like Jenny I often find loading pages is frustratingly slow, but today hads been especially bad.

I spoke too seen that went through instantly. But I am going back to my painting now, thats all in my hands for the evening.

So glad have picked this up on the Forum as I've experienced the same problem for 2/3 days and was about to start a conversation but found even that difficult to do trying to get the right place downloaded.  Anyway, please POL can you sort it out, hopefully they are aware.  I liked your comment about 'oiling' John ... very appropriate on two levels.

l'd suspect AI bots crawling over the website gathering content for training, perhaps. Multiple downloads would slow up most systems.

I’ve just managed to upload the Bonus Artist  thread thought it would be a problem as if had paintings attached but it went instantly.  Getting on to the site was very slow , I know Dawn is away for Easter but hopefully one of the technicians will be keeping a watchful eye on the situation.
